Most horses are domesticated, trained, and dependent on people to provide for their needs. But they were once wild and beautiful. Some still are, and you can see wild horses in Osage County, among other places in Oklahoma. The sight of them running is powerful, majestic and truly awe-inspiring. Mastered by no man, they are as God intended, and one cannot help but feel the presence of God watching them. It's as if they know Him better than we do. The sheer beauty of their freedom can move even the toughest cowboy to tears. If only we could be so free.
