Highway to Heaven Votive

Fragrance: Heliotrope

Is this the highway to Pawhuska from Bartlesville? Or maybe to Ponca City? It could be one of many highways in Oklahoma. But one thing is for certain, it looks like endless possibilities to me. Like freedom, potential, and another amazing adventure. 

It looks like the highway disappears right into the horizon, up to Heaven. It's a long, straight and narrow road. Travelers may be few and far between. But undoubtedly, it's a beautiful ride, and there is something wonderful waiting up ahead. 

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Matthew 7:14

Be mindful of the road you are traveling on. Not all who wander are lost, but not every road leads where you are meant to go. The easy road is not always the right road. In this life, we are not guaranteed to have the easiest route. There may be obstacles, detours, and delays. Sometimes those things are for our own good. Sometimes they are a test, and sometimes they are meant to slow us down so the danger ahead can pass. Sometimes God is trying to re-route us if we are going the wrong way. 

One thing is for sure, you will never reach your destination standing still. We are not meant to be stagnant and grow moss in regards to our faith and spiritual progress. If we have decided to follow Jesus where He leads, it means moving out of your comfort zone. It means you probably won't get a printed map detailing every step you are to take ahead of time.  Sometimes the road does not open until you do take a step. For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7
